Would you rather only be able to read blog posts or write blog posts?

Probably only read posts. Mainly because there are so many amazing blogs that inspire me.

What is your favourite hairstyle?

My hair is super short, so I usually just leave it down. (In other hair-related news, I got my hair dyed rainbow)

What is your favourite season?

Fall! I have a few reasons, *clears throat and pulls out a list* Halloween, the weather is so nice, all the trees look so pretty, no one judges me for wearing hoodies, pumpkins, and my birthday is actually in the fall! (plus we usually go to Disney in the fall…)

Do you use paper for your notes/lists/other things or do you use digital methods?

I use a mix of both. I love using actual paper, but sometimes digital is better.

What is your favourite blog to read?

Again, how dare you make me choose? See list Here.

Do you prefer sweet or savory snacks?

Both. At the same time. Seriously though, sweet and savory treats are the best.

What is your favourite snack food?

I love apples, especially with peanut butter.

If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?

You know what? I’m going to be boring and say water. (You said nothing about flavored water)

What is your favourite blog post idea that you never ended up writing?

I’m pretty sure I write almost all the posts I think of…

Do you like board games? If so, what is your favourite?

I love board games! I love playing Villainous, but if (and hopefully when) Disney makes The Choosical, I will somehow own it. Bet on it.

What is one random thing that makes you happy?

Card tricks! At the time of writing this, I started learning some because I watched Magic Camp on Disney+ and have become obsessed with magic, again.

If you could rule the world for one day, what is the first thing you would do?

Make racism/homophobia/etc. illegal.

What thing do you really want as a gift on your birthday?

Comic books! Or books in general.

Yes.

Do you believe in ghosts and spirits? (Be honest, even if that means admitting that you have felt someone creeping into your room when you are alone)

I have yet to have an encounter, so I don’t really. But that’s just my stance at the moment.

I’m an optimist!

Why did you start blogging?

To share my art!

If you could live inside a story forever, which one would it be and why?

I’d choose HSMTMTS mainly because it’s one of my few fandoms where it’s not likely you’ll die from a monster attack. Also I love it a ton.

What’s your greatest ambition?

To be known for something.

Beaches or mountains? Cotton candy or chicken wings?

I’d say mountains because they’re super beautiful in my opinion. And cotton candy.

When do you think this virus would go away? (Make a guess, just for fun. And feel free to call yourself more than a human if your guess goes right.)

I think it will go away whenever everyone wears the quiznaking masks.

1.Describe yourself using one word?

Creative! 😊

2.Would you rather die or live alone?

Live alone. I really like the quiet. (And when I get bored, I can sing musicals without people thinking I’m crazy)

3.What is your phobia/Which animal are you afraid of?

Atychiphobia, the fear of failure or not being good enough.

4. Are you a loud person, soft spoken or in between type?

In between. I can be loud with people I know, but quiet if I don’t know them.

5.From which country, state and city do you belong from and currently live in?

I live in Tennessee.

6.Which is you favourite book/movie?

I love Geekerella by Ashley Poston! (if you haven’t already noticed)

7.One interesting fact about you?

I’m going to graduate to a green belt in Kenpo Karate at the end of the month.

I hate math. A ton. Also sports, besides martial arts.

I’m a geek! (I’m Geekerella!) My dream job is acting in film and tv or doing freelance art.

What is your favorite film and/or TV show?

High School Musical The Musical The Series! I’ve said this multiple times, but this show is really special to me.

Would you rather be able to only reread books or never reread books (so only read new books)?

Probably never reread. I don’t think I could handle not being able to read something new.

What made you decide to start blogging?

I wanted to share my art. Most art sharing apps my dad tried were 17+ so I couldn’t get them. So I decided to start a blog for my art!

What is your go-to food for when you’re feeling sad?

Almost anything sweet. (Not after 9:00 or I’ll be up until dawn)

What is a hobby that you have that you don’t talk about on your blog much?

I love to play the drums! I also used to play the piano and want to learn guitar.

What is your opinion on houseplants?

I love them and I need more of them. I have two in my room at the moment.

What is your biggest irrational fear?

Umm, I don’t know! Probably that I’m annoying people by talking too much.

What is something that makes you feel nostalgic?

Scooby-Doo! I used to watch this almost daily during the summer. We recently watched Scoob and I was getting flooded with memories. (highly suggest you watch Scoob)

What is one area that you have a lot of knowledge on? (eg astronomy, cooking, the Simpsons)

Disney! That’s one of the many reasons that my cousin and I started a Disney podcast.

Hyrule! (I haven’t mentioned it yet, but I love The Legend of Zelda)

What character has a wardrobe you’d love to have?

Ummmmmmm. I love all of Belle’s dresses in Beauty and the Beast.

Hufflepuff! Our dog should just be Hufflepuff’s new mascot.

Ummmmm. No clue. RECOMMEND SOME BOOKS, PEOPLE!!

Do you often DNF books?

I actually had to look this up. And yes. some reasons:

  • Boring
  • They kill off the main character after a long time (i.e. not Magnus Chase)
  • To much curse words
  • Annoying writing style
  • Creepy characters that aren’t supposed to be creepy

What’s your favorite dessert?

CHOCOLATE!!! ‘Tis amazingly yummy and can go with basically anything.

Do you enjoy rereading books?

Yes. Yes. Yes. It’s basically all I do.

Do you prefer physical books, ebooks, audiobooks?

Depends on what I’m doing. Cause of quarantine, I can’t go to the library, so Libby is my best friend. But I love physical books, they smell good. And I like to listen to audiobooks while drawing.

Do you enjoy listening to audiobooks?

Yes. See above. 🙂

How Geekerella got started

I was basically just bored one day and said to myself “I should start a blog and actually stick with it.” I had started other blogs before that were complete and total messes. (I had like twenty fails) I was previously Pidgeon Art (If you came with me from there, good for you) but rebranded, like, twice. Once I turned into The Art of Nerdyness and now I’m Geekerella Undercover! And people actually like my stuff? That really surprised me.

Two pieces of advice!

  • Be yourself! That’s literally all I’ve been doing here and you guys seem to like it.
  • Write for yourself first. This also applies to stories. Write the kind of story/blog post that you’d like to read.

What is your favorite time period? (Beginning of time to 2010)

Ancient Greek and Roman. I love Percy Jackson and mythology in general. Plus the time is really fun.

What was the first stuffed animal you remember receiving?

A Winnie the Pooh one. I actually still have it!

Have you ever won a contest? What was it for?

I won a contest for best matching costumes at a Christmas party. Me and another girl went a Jack Skeleton from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Does your family have any “weird” foods that you eat every time you see them?

I don’t eat it, but my cousins like ketchup on chips and ice in milk.

Favorite book cover?

The Magnus Chase covers.

Look at them! The colors and poses are so amazing!

What is a last-day-of-school tradition you have/had?

I don’t think I ever had one. Except throwing away any homework I hated. I almost never throw away old creative writing projects, which leads to some very cringe worthy rereads.

Pandora, Spotify, or Itunes?

Actually none of these! I use Tidal. Sometimes I use Spotify, but only for songs that Tidal doesn’t have.
